Visual diary of a month-long journey across Southeast Asia following our passion for gemology, art, nature and people, and learning to take in, through the gaze, an everyday life that is distant in its colors yet deeply legible in its humanity. The result is a series of frames and compositions of moments and vernacular spaces, intended to suggest, with a single impression, a broader and more multifaceted reality of daily gestures and habits.

  • Dissolving Gently

  • - Geneva, Switzerland

“We tend to find comfort in the binary of places: inside and outside. Interior means control, shelter, and civilization. Exterior suggests surrender, the unknowable, and the raw.
Indoors is for containment; outdoors, for release.

But sometimes, the curtain flutters and the outside seeps

in.[...]”

This series of photographs explores the idea of porosity,
and draws inspiration from textile design. It portrays the
experience of passing through textures: lace, bark, water, sunlight. Textiles spin this narrative into the shape of curtains, carpets, and knits. Textiles mark the beginning of home long
before walls—they are our oldest technologies of comfort.

Concept and photography for the 3rd issue of Fanfaretti Magazine focusing on textile.
